I ordered an American style fridge/freezer they took my money & it was delivered on time (thats the only good bit). Delivery man measured door "oh its an inch too big" I said "no its not there is half an inch either side spare" ,"oh yes he said you are right".

Ordering was laboured, delivery first time round ok(i had paid for it), defective after plugging in, complained(this was 23rd December), they said a replacement would be forthcoming, never received it, got a phone call 10th january to say i would be contacted the 13th or 14th to let me know delivery details, is now night time of the 14th and still havent been contacted...........will never deal wi... My tale is much the same as all the others, appalling service, misinformation, impossible to phone them etc etc.It seemms they are very consistent with angering their customers.
I have had two very bad experiences with Currys.

Hopeless.
Shown as "in stock" - offered 8 day delivery - not too annoyed at this stage.
Got the 3 emails - no probs - even got the 'day before' call to RECONFIRM delivery for the following day (today) during the afternoon.
Do I get a delivery? Do I hell. What I get is a call from an UNapologetic staff member at 4.30 to tell me that I won't get the delivery today.

My experience is ... NEVER buy from Currys on-line.

Ordered LG 1600 Spin Silver washing machine.

Ordered from website, fairly painless - confirmed delivery date provided.

On-line 'tracking' system rubbish - just confirms date of order and nothing further.

Ordered a Tom Tom sat Nav from Curry's prior to Christmas via their web site. They were more expensive than some online retailers but the deciding factor to be honest was a free £99 remote control car with the order.

The Tom Tom arrived within a couple of days via parcel froce however there was no sign of the remote control car, also no mention of it on any of the confirmation e-mails.

Ordered a Dyson vacuum cleaner - they weren't the cheapest but offered earlier, guaranteed delivery (for a fee!) than anyone else. Being without a vacuum cleaner over Xmas and New Year is not ideal!

Currys delivery and care was good - kept us informed by e-mail, and then phoned day before, and then from the vehicle half an hour before arrival. Smiling and very cheerful delivery!
