Read Full ReviewReview summary: Okay, so Nikon's D3 flagship DSLR has an eye-watering price tag but, in replacing the aged D2x, Nikon has produced a digital SLR camera with a feature set to make the mouth water too.
Verdict: The Nikon D3 is blisteringly fast, capturing incredible results in near darkness. Digital files normally accused of looking 'flat' have an attractively 3D film-like quality. But this camera is eye-wateringly expensive.

Pros: Built like a tank. Dual card slot. Best 12MP images we€™ve seen
Cons: Not completely compatible with DX lenses
Verdict: Thankfully, we need not have worried about that. The D3 has a 12MP full-frame sensor which, for the uninitiated, means that the sensor is the same size as a 35mm film frame, as opposed to the smaller APS-C sensors used in most SLRs
