Denon DVD-1940 | Our Review | TechRadar UK

Review summary: This is not Denon's most musical player, but it handles SD video well

Pros: Relatively tidy scaling up to 1080p; strong SD images too

Cons: Stereo playback doesn--'t quite match the Cambridge; some jagged lines caused by scaling

Verdict: On this model we rate the scaler as not just another cynical selling point

Verdict: We don't really have a bad word to say about the DVD-1940. It's packed with features, offers kick-ass performance and its build quality is a cut above most budget players. If we're being picky, cheaper universal players like the Pioneer DV-600V add a USB
