      Review summary: Colour inkjet multi-functional devices aren't quite ten-a-penny, but the starting price is well under £100 and there are dozens of models to choose from. By comparison, colour laser printers with built-in scanners are scarce

      Samsung CLX-2160N

      Pros: Compact size, good speed

      Cons: Text output isn't quite as crisp as on the best lasers, Has a skimpy paper catch, Paper curl

      Verdict: Mostly a very good MFD for the money, the CLX-2160N offers good quality, features, and performance at this level. It's a shame it's marred by the slightly skimpy paper catch and paper curl.
