      Panasonic DMP-BD10

      Review summary: This Blu-ray player's forerunner, the DMP-BDP10, burst onto the hi-def scene a few months back impressing with its top-end picture quality, and in a less positive way with its £1,200 price tag.

      Pros: Exceptional detail and colour grading, Good audio

      Cons: Very expensive, Not BD Profile 1.1 compliant

      Verdict: The best of pictures for the worst of prices. Closer to being a mass market product, but no cigar yet
