This is a posthumous, expanded, and remixed version of Clark's well-received 1984 Takoma album. Some fans were nonplussed with the revamped treatments of Byrds hits including "Mr. Tambourine Man" and Clark's own classic "Feel a Whole Lot Better", but in retrospect these slightly modernised takes (complete with harmonies by fellow Byrd Chris Hillman) are as valid as any. Clark also does yeoman work here on Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind,' and several of his originals--particularly the wistful "Blue Raven" and "The Rain Song"--are as exquisite as any of his better-known folk and country rockers.
