This full-length debut was released to critical acclaim in 1994, and hailed as the missing link between Led Zeppelin and the cult folk of his father Tim, who died when he was only nine years old. Before he had completed the sessions for his follow up to 'Grace', Jeff Buckley's life was also cut short when he drowned in the Mississippi River. On this release he managed to fuse folk, rock and jazz - and the material sweeps from mournful ballads to uplifting rockers. |
