What are Product Ratings and Reviews?

Product ratings and reviews help users make more informed purchasing decisions and improve your shopping experience. Product star ratings provide "at-a-glance" information about how other users have liked (or disliked) a product based on a 1 to 5 star scale. Product reviews are written by users and provide more details about the good and/or bad features of each product.

How does the product rating system work?

Users rate products on a five-star scale.

Each product rating includes an Overall rating, as well as Component ratings that reflect specific aspects of the product.

How is the "Average Product Rating" calculated?

The Average Product Rating is a simple average of all posted ratings for that product.

How does "Quick Rate" work?

You can "Quick Rate" a product on the User Reviews page for that product, but this will only reflect your overall experience. Clicking "submit" adds your rating to the Overall average. You will then be taken to a page for submitting a separate review of the product, but this is optional. If you choose not to submit a review at this time, you can still return and submit one later.

Can I rate a product without submitting a review?

You can "Quick Rate" a product on the User Reviews page for that product, but this will only reflect your overall experience. Clicking "submit" adds your rating to the Overall average. What does "Sort by" mean?

By default, reviews are displayed in "Most Helpful" order. This means that reviews deemed as helpful by other shoppers will be displayed first. If you wish, you can change the order of display by choosing one of the other sorting options. For example, if you want to see the most recently posted reviews, choose "Newest."

How do I submit a product rating and review?

In order to submit a product rating and review, you must have a Yahoo! ID and be signed in. When viewing a product, click on the "write a review" link and use the form to write a review.

Your review must comply with the Product Review Guidelines and Kelkoo Terms of Use. Reviews typically appear on the site within 2-4 working days.

Can I submit more than one review about the same product?

No. You may only write one review per product.

What are the guidelines for writing a product review?

Before you start, please read the Product Review Guidelines. Kelkoo reserves the right to refuse or remove any review that does not comply with these Guidelines or the Kelkoo Terms of Use, as determined by Yahoo! in its sole discretion, and to terminate your Yahoo! account (including email) for a violation. Yahoo! is not responsible or liable in any way for ratings and reviews posted by its users.

Can I include links or other HTML in my review?

No, reviews should be text only. Reviews that include links or HTML tags will be rejected.

Why isn't my review showing up?

In general, reviews will appear within 2-4 working days. However, reviews that violate our Product Review Guidelines or Kelkoo Terms of Use may be removed or rejected without notice, as determined by Yahoo! / Kelkoo in its sole discretion. Please read the Product Review Guidelines for further information on what constitutes an acceptable review.

How often are product ratings and reviews updated?

Product ratings are updated daily.

How do I report an abusive, off-topic, or otherwise objectionable review that I think should be taken down?

Reviews that are appear abusive, off-topic, or otherwise objectionable may violate Product Review Guidelines or Kelkoo Terms of Use. To make a report, go back to the review and click on the "Report abuse" link at the bottom of the review. Submit the form with your email address and details about why the review should be taken down. Customer Care will look at the review and take appropriate action, in accordance with our Guidelines or the Yahoo! Terms of Service. While Yahoo! / Kelkoo will examine reviews that are called to our attention, we do not guarantee that we will remove any review.

Can I edit or delete my review?

Currently, it's not possible to edit your own review. However, if you wish to completely delete your review, return to the review that you wrote and click on "report abuse." In the feedback part of the form, let us know that you would like your review deleted. Once your account information is verified, your review will be removed.
