There have been some pretty huge milestones since the birth of the World Wide Web in 1962. To celebrate how far we’ve come, we have showcased the most significant internet moments in our ultimate guide to the History of the Internet video.

To coincide with the launch of our video, we asked the great British public to vote for their ‘top ten wonders of the web’. Facebook, Google, SuBo and even the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, were beaten to the crown for cyberspace supremacy by internet forefathers Tim Berners-Lee and J.C.R Licklider, responsible for developing the first ever internet browser and the birth of the world wide web. But what are the other major events?
