Kelkoo's inaugural Shopper's Choice Awards reveal the

UK's top online retailers

Amazon.co.uk a multi-award winner following a poll of 4,827 online shoppers.

January 2009 - Kelkoo, Europe's biggest shopping comparison service, has today revealed the top rated online retailers in the UK as voted for by a poll of over 4,800 regular online shoppers as it announces the winners of its 2008 Shopper's Choice Awards. Winners include Amazon.co.uk, eBay.co.uk and Tesco.com.

Decided by an online poll of over 4,800 regular online shoppers, Kelkoo set out to find the best online stores in the UK, asking respondents to recommend their favourite e-tailers for a range of categories based on their service levels, value, product range and site design and usability.

Going for Gold - Amazon.com was the top rated e-tailer, winning three Gold and one Silver Award, coming top in the Electronics, Entertainment and Sports & Fitness categories. eBay.co.uk won gold for Fashion, Health and Beauty, whilst Tesco.com came top for Home and Garden.

Silver Surfer - Silver Awards went to Currys (Electronics), Play.com (Entertainment), John Lewis (Fashion, Health & Beauty), Amazon (Home & Garden) and Wiggle (Sports & Fitness).

Bronze Boutiques - Bronze awards went to Ebuyer (Electronics), WHSmith (Entertainment), Dorothy Perkins (Fashion, Health & Beauty), eBay (Home & Garden) and Fitness-Superstore (Sports & Fitness).
